March of 2014 Hunter Sims in Auburndale, FL gets a boat that makes a surfable wave. By May he hones his skills enough to entice multiple board sponsors and receive a wild card invitation to the National Championships in the outlaw division where he earns 3rd place.
Three weeks later, Hunter competes at Worlds where he shocks the field taking 2nd. Before the 2015 season begins Hunter receives the invitation to compete with the Pros. May 7th, his 16th birthday almost 8 months to the day from his competitive debut, Hunter boards a plane bound for Dallas and his new career as a Professional.
After only 4 months of training, Hunter get recruited by an icon in the watersports industry. Watch this great clip to see inside the journey.
